The Redmi X-series smart TVs will go officially on May 26 in China and the company will also unveil new RedmiBook laptops and Redmi 10X 5G on the same day.

Redmi TV X Series will primarily target the budget market. Currently Xiaomi leads the market with the highest market share in the TV market. The company dominates the affordable and mid-end smart TV market in India. Mi TVs are one of the most sold smart TVs in the country. After the success of Mi-branded smart televisions, Chinese electronics maker Xiaomi is now working on a Redmi branded smart televisions. Named the Redmi Smart TV X-series, the upcoming smart television series expected to bring premium features.

The Redmi X series TV will come in three variants they are Redmi TV X50, Redmi TV X55, and Redmi TV X65. In which the numbers signify the screen-size options. Redmi has already announced a 70-inch version of the TV and also a 98-inch 4K variant. According to a post on Weibo by Lu Weibing, the upcoming models feature Motion Estimation Motion Compensation (MEMC) technology.

MEMC in Redmi X-series

MEMC is a frame interpolation technology that artificially adds additional frames between original frames. It will bring the content with conventional 21-30 frames per second to around 60 or even 120 frames per second. The technology makes content appear smooth and transitions lively. The MEMC technology mostly seen in premium segment televisions. It includes OnePlus OLED smart televisions that launched last year.

The Redmi X series smart TVs will give excellent performance in terms of picture quality, appearance materials, sound system, and smart experience, according to Weibing.

Speakers

Besides MEMC technology, the upcoming Redmi X series will get 12.5W power speakers with Dolby Audio. The audio bit is important for a proper multimedia experience, Redmi knows that. So the TV will come with four 12.5W speakers along with an 8-unit subwoofer. The OEM promises theater-like audio experience and the sound system does seem pretty impressive. The Redmi X-series smart TVs will go officially on May 26 in China.
